ORGANIZATION IS: DISMAS IS FAMILY

What better way to spend time with “family than around the dinner table.” On the fourth Thursday of each month members of our church family join the family of residents at the Dismas Family Farm in Oakham. If you are considering joining us on this valuable outreach but have questions, please speak with me at church or feel free to call/email me. 774-200-7571 or tammy.bccmissionoutreachboard@gmail.com

PLEASE NOTE A CORRECTION WAS NEEDED ADVENT GIVING TREE

In last month’s newsletter it was inadvertently stated that Brookhaven was one of our recipients of our Advent Giving Tree.  The correct listing should be the Lincoln Hill Manor in Spencer, The Center of Hope in Southbridge and the Dismas House in Oakham.  Lincoln Hill Manor received 31 gift bags which included an extra bag for a man and a woman should either have arrived during the week of Christmas.  The Center of Hope received 30 gift bags for the family of 5, and the Dismas House received 14 gift bags for the 14 residents on site.  This was all due to your generosity and your Mission board is most appreciative of all your efforts.

Also during Advent, we added a second tree in the Narthex which held our hats and mittens.  At that time 20 hats were bundled up along with 9 sets of mittens for the Brookfield Ecumenical Food Pantry.  Louise Woodard is our contact, and we let her know should she run out of these items we have more on hand.  That being said, we are short on scarves if anyone wishes to create a scarf for next fall.

Thank you all again for your dedication and kindness to help make others Christmas as joyful as your own day might have been.

Respectfully,

Hello Everyone!  Its that time of the year again. Let’s celebrate the Super Bowl Weekend by contributing Soup to the Brookfield Food Pantry.  Bring in your can goods on February 8th to church. There will be two tables set up in the back of the church to put your donations on. This is a great way to share what God has given us.
